Monday was our first work day in Buda and we really got to work. Today alone, deep cleaned, organized, and mopped the Food Pantry here at CTCH. We also tore down the walls of a chicken coop, trimmed trees and hauled off the brush, cleaned fence rows and also painted several walls around the Activity Center.
There are several videos of our work on our Facebook that you can see by following this link.
Needless to say, we're tired after all the work but encouraged because we were able to do so much. Several times, the employees here were surprised with the amount of work we got done. We're looking forward to several more days of hard work around the facility.
We also got to meet more of the children who live here and began to interact with them. The girls from our group spent some time with them painting their toenails. We began the day with a devotional by our very own Bryce Keele. He did a great job. As I write this, it's about 5 pm in Buda. Tonight we'll eat dinner with everyone and play some games with the other group and some of the children.
