Marriage is a big deal. People are talking about it, thinking about, reacting to it, and getting out of it on a daily basis. So what does the Bible say about marriage? Covenants are one the oldest principals in the Bible, but what do they have to do with marriage? Everything. Since marriage is a covenant, what can we learn by studying the ideas they represent through the OT and the NT?
husbands
The Bible has an awful lot to say about husbands. Their role as leaders of the house, protectors of their spouse, and imitators of our Heavenly Father is incredibly important.
wives
The Bible has an awful lot to say about wives. Their role as help-meets, providers of care and concern, and mothers to the next generation all ties into their responsibility as a wife.
Divorce, remarriage, and everything associated with that topic must be addressed. Society is all over the place, but the Scriptures aren’t.
