previous sermon series - into the deep

Jonah's journey from runaway to preacher is quite extraordinary. While we often spend a ton of time thinking about the miraculous side of the story, we often overlook the finer details that hold it all together. God's grace, generosity, and patience with Jonah was truly exceptional and it's worth our praise. As always, if you have any questions, don't be afraid to contact us.

the runaway

There isn't too much to love and respect about Jonah in the beginning of this story. The man who ran teaches us so very much.

the sorrow

Jonah's cry from the belly of the beast is something heartbreaking and inspiring at the same time. This man who lost everything turns everything over to God. It's a shame it took these series of unfortunate events to open his mind to God's forgiveness and grace.

The MEssage

Jonah's preaching in Ninevah was wildly successful, but I'm not sure it was what he hoped for. Explore with us the impact God's message had on the hearts of Ninevah.

the resentment

Following Jonah's preaching in Ninevah and God's postponement of their punishment, we see the real Jonah come back into the scene. His response is disappointing, but worthwhile for our study.
